Purpose
The Medical Physics Subcommittee is composed of clinically experienced physicists with expertise in commissioning and developing the technology employed in radiation therapy: including patient simulation, treatment planning, beam delivery verification, and quality assurance. The physicists on the subcommittee work with clinicians to promote improvements in testing, utilization and standardization of new and emerging technology in all appropriate protocols and NCTN clinical trials. The inter-collaboration of such a broad range of medical physics expertise (e.g. with photons, protons, brachytherapy, radiopharmaceuticals, and multitude of imaging systems) facilitates efficiency, timeliness, and a better understanding of the major aims and goals sought by our clinician partners and PI of NCTN protocols.
The NRG Subcommittee Meeting will meet via zoom link the second Tuesday of every 2 month (bi-monthly) from 2:00PM – 3:00PM Eastern, with the exception of the NRG Semi-Annual meeting months. (subject to changes, please read emails or contact admin support with questions)
