The NRG NCORP principal investigators (PIs) are advised by the program's executive and steering committees. The research agenda is carried out primarily through the four committees: Cancer Prevention and Control (CPC), Cancer Care Delivery Research (CCDR), Health Disparities, and Patient Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) committees.
The NRG NCORP Executive Committee is advisory to the NCORP PIs and is not a decision-making committee. It assists with overall strategic directions, prioritization and resource oversight, and integration with NRG Oncology's research program. The committee is comprised of the NRG NCORP PIs, the NRG Oncology group chairs, and the group statistician.
The NRG NCORP Steering Committee also is advisory to the NRG NCORP PIs and has primary oversight of the scientific review and prioritization recommendations among all CPC and CCDR trials, the PCOR endpoints integrated into treatment trials, and health disparity research endeavors. The committee includes the NCORP PIs, the CPC Committee and CCDR Committee co-chairs, the PCOR Committee and Health Disparities Committee chairs, community physician representatives, a patient advocate, a translational research representative, and the NCORP statisticians and other staff members.
